Or: Please Don’t Use the F-Word was announced on Thursday by the Festival Theatre in Chichester.  This new razor-sharp black comedy by Alistair Beaton takes a timely look at the conflicted core of planetary energy and earthly power. Fracked! Or: Please Don’t Use the F-Word runs at the Minerva Theatre 8 July – 6 August and is directed by Richard Wilson.  Tickets from the Chichester Theatre website HERE. (21 February 2016)

"Kitchen Dog Theater’s production, crackles under Tim Johnson’s tight direction…  British satirist Alistair Beaton’s 2007 translation brings Frisch’s ideas up to date.“and "Explosively entertaining" The run continues until 13th December. bullet Alistair Beaton's new translation of Play Strindberg by Friedrich Dürrenmatt is gathering great reviews. WhatsOnStage reviewer Kris Hallett wrote "Alistair Beaton has translated Durrenmatt without taking liberties…. the language is deliciously short and brutal, the humour as dark…" and "The Ustinov Studio is in a golden age, and 'Play Strindberg' could be its crown jewel". The play runs till 11th October at Bath's Ustinov Studio. (22 SEPTEMBER 2014)

bullet Chicago's Strawdog Theater production of The Arsonists is gathering wonderful reviews. "Strawdog has put together a set that truly comes alive with sound and fury. The experience is unsettling, by turns funny and frightening, but not to be missed."  says Stage & Cinema and Theatre in Chicago said "This elegant, witty translation of Max Frisch's 1958 absurdist comedy is part moral fable, part black farce." The production runs till 27th September. (27 AUGUST 2014)

bullet Kitchen Dog Theater’s (Dallas, Texas ) 2014-2015 season includes the regional premiere of Alistair Beaton’s 2007 translation of the 1958 Max Frisch play The Arsonists.  The play, will run 7th November – 13th December.  In addition The Arsonists is also presented at the MET – Maryland Ensemble Theatre early 2015.  Directed by Gerrard Stropnicky, the play will run 13th February – 8th March. (30 JULY 2014)

bullet The Caucasian Chalk Circle will open at The Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh next year. The play by Bertolt Brecht, translated by Alistair Beaton will be directed by Mark Thomson and runs from 18 February - 14 March. More information and tickets HERE. (22 JULY 2014)

bullet Bath's Theatre Royal will stage the UK premiere of Play Strindberg by Friedrich Dürrenmatt in a new translation by Alistair Beaton.  The black comedy will run from Thursday 11th September - Saturday 11th October at The Ustinov Studio. bullet Strawdog Theatre in Chicago begins its new season with Max Frisch’s “The Arsonists”, adapted by Alistair Beaton. Matt Hawkins directs Strawdog’s production which runs from August 15th to September 27th.

LondonTheatre gave the production five stars and The London Evening Standard said "Alistair Beaton’s revised version of the text is pleasingly sparky...", and also gave the play four stars.
